TRACK DETAILS

The Brisbane Motorcycle Club has finalised the building of a purpose built scrambles racing track, for older machines. This means that the track is now suitable for racing with those bikes designed with limited suspension, i.e. twin shocks at rear. The track has been constructed at Nudgee (a Northern suburb of Brisbane) and is unique, in that it is situated within the Brisbane city area. This has been an adventurous task for the Brisbane Motorcycle Club, however now it is completed to allow for club day racing. The venue has not only classic riders in mind, it is also an ideal venue for those little folks learning motocross.

The club has been able to build this track with funds provided by the Community & Lifestyle Branch of the Brisbane City Council. Brisbane Motorcycle Club wishes to thank the efforts of Councillor Kim Flesser of the Northgate Ward Office for his assistance with this grant. The Brisbane Motorcycle Club acknowledges their support to our sport and thank them for this kind financial assistance.

This new track was officially opened by the General manager of Motorcycling Queensland on Sunday 27th March, 2005.

The track is now completed for the 2005 racing season, so all our members will be enjoying this unique track. Join the Club and share the experience of the old days of Scrambles, come along and participate or just watch these men (& women) and their mighty machines.
